Who Was Noah?

Most of us know the Bible's story about Noah and the great flood. But many don't realize that there were two great floods. The world in Noah's day was flooded with evil. The number of people that remembered the God of creation, perfection and love had dwindled down to one, Noah. Out of all the people only Noah was left. God's response to this severe situation would be a 120 year long last chance, during which He had Noah build a graphic illustration of His message. A huge boat on dry land was something most people didn't understand, so they laughed and made a mockery of it. Don't we sometimes seem to laugh at things we don't understand? During the time it took Noah to build the Ark these people couldn't see the writing on the wall. Had they known what was about to happen they would have been turning from their ways immediately. As in Noah's time, even today people don't seem to have a clue as to what is about to happen, when Jesus returns and everyone will be judged according to God. What lesson did we learn from Noah?

Many of us have problems sticking to any project, whether or not it is directed by God. It's interesting that the length of time Noah's obedience took in building the Ark, was greater than the entire life span of people today. The only comparison we can make to a long term project is our life span. We have our entire lives to live in, and accept God's grace. An entire lifetime that should be in obedience and gratitude.

I tell you the truth when I say that there will be no atheists after death. On the day they stand before God in judgment, they will all be believers.

You have the opportunity now during your life time to return to God through Jesus. Jesus paid the price for your salvation through His death on the cross. Through Him we can return to a personal relationship with God, a relationship He wanted with us all from the beginning. Don't get caught up in religion, religion is people trying to do things to get to God, which does not work. God is reaching out to you through His Son Jesus.
